AI providers

Use the built-in AI provider or bring your own key, and choose which model powers each AI feature.

Settings → AI providers

The AI features — drafting issues, breaking down epics, summaries, duplicate detection and the dashboard composer — need a language model. This page decides where that model comes from and which one each feature uses.

Open the settings

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose AI providers under Integrations & API. The page is titled AI & Automation.

People with the AI settings read permission can view it; changes need AI settings update (Owners and Admins).

Built-in AI or your own key

  • Use built-in AI — use the provider that comes with the platform. Available on plans that include Built-in AI Provider; otherwise the button is disabled.
  • Bring your own key — connect your own account with one of the providers below. Usage is billed by that provider to you.

Connect a provider

Four providers are supported: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, OpenRouter and GateLLM.

  1. On the provider's card, check the Base URL (the default is filled in; change it only for a proxy or compatible endpoint).
  2. Paste your API key and choose Save.
  3. Choose Test connection; the result and time are shown on the card.
  4. Choose Fetch models to load the provider's model list.
  5. Tick Enabled.
The key is stored encrypted and only its last characters are shown afterwards. Use Replace to change it and Disconnect to remove it.

Feature routing

Feature routing lists each AI feature. For each, pick the provider (in bring-your-own-key mode) and a model — from the fetched list, or typed as a model ID — tick Enabled, and choose Save. The choice applies to every project.
