Audit log

See who signed in, invited someone or changed a record in the workspace, and when.

Settings → Audit log

The audit log is the workspace's record of who did what, and when: sign-ins, invitations and changes to records such as issues, workflows, fields and settings. It is read-only.

Open the audit log

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose Audit log under Security & data.

Available on plans that include Audit Logs. Without it, the page says so — and events keep being recorded in the meantime, so nothing is lost if you add it later.

What each entry shows

  • When — date and time.
  • Actor — the member, or System for changes nobody made directly.
  • Action — Create, Update, Delete, Login, Logout, Invite, Assign, Transition or Merge.
  • Resource — what kind of record it was, such as issue, workflow or custom-field.
  • Resource ID — the record's identifier.

Workspace data exports are recorded here too.

Filter the log

  • Pick an action from the All actions dropdown.
  • Type in Filter by resource — for example issue or workflow.
  • Choose Clear to remove both filters. Page through results and choose how many to show per page at the bottom.

Who can see it

People with the audit-log read permission: Owners, Admins and Auditors by default, plus any custom role you give it to. Others see a message asking them to request access.
