The mobile app

Your issues, sprint and notifications on iOS and Android, with push notifications, offline changes and a biometric lock.

The mobile app for iOS and Android puts your issues, the running sprint and your notifications in your pocket. It uses the same account, workspace, roles and plan as the web app. Planning and setup still happen on the web.

Get the app and sign in

Download links appear on this site's home page once the app is published in the App Store and Google Play. Then:

  1. Open the app and choose Sign in.
  2. Enter your email and password. If you use two-factor authentication, enter the code from your authenticator app or a backup code.
The app signs in with email and password only. If you have always used Google, GitHub, Microsoft or single sign-on, set a password first: choose Forgot your password? and follow the emailed link.

Getting around

  • Home: counts of open, blocked, unassigned and overdue work, the active sprint, your issues and recent activity.
  • My tasks: everything assigned to you, grouped by project. Swipe a row to mark it Done or Unassign yourself.
  • A third tab picked for your role: usually Sprint, otherwise Board, Goals, Projects, Releases or Insights.
  • More: the board, backlog, sprints, epics, goals, releases, insights, workload, docs, projects, chat, roadmap, calendar and team.
  • The + button creates an issue of the type you choose.

Every screen has search, a bell for notifications and your avatar, which opens Account.

What you can do

  • Create issues with a project, summary, details, priority, assignee, points and sprint.
  • On an issue: change its status, assignee, priority, due date, points and sprint, tick checklists, log time, add photos and files, and comment with @mentions.
  • Run the sprint: see its burndown and progress, move backlog issues into it, and Complete sprint.
  • Search issues with type and status filters, and use your saved filters.
  • Read and post in team chat channels and threads.
  • Nudge goal key results up or down.

These are read-only in the app: docs, releases, the roadmap, calendar, workload, insights and the member list. On the board you move an issue by changing its status on the issue itself. Dashboards, automation rules, the report builder, forms, files, whiteboards and mind maps are on the web only.

Push notifications

The app asks for permission to send notifications after you sign in. You get a push for each notification you have set to Email instantly on the web. Some pushes have buttons:

  • Assigned to you: Start it or Not mine.
  • A mention or comment: Reply.
  • An issue moved into review: Looks good or Needs work.

Which kinds you get is set in Settings → Notifications on the web. The app's own Settings only shows whether push is on for the device. See Notifications.

Working with a bad signal

The app keeps what you last loaded, so it opens with your data even offline. A banner tells you when you are offline or when changes are waiting. Issue edits, comments, new issues and time logs made offline are queued and sent when you reconnect, even if you close the app in between.

Security and appearance

  • In Settings → Security, turn on the Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint lock. The app then asks you to unlock it when you come back to it. Your device passcode also works.
  • In Settings → Appearance, Colour mode can follow your device, or stay light or dark.
  • If you belong to several workspaces, switch from Account → Switch workspace.
  • When a new version is out, the app offers it. An old version that is no longer supported must be updated before you can continue.

Your account in the app

Account shows your role in the workspace and links to Settings, support and the legal pages. It is also where you Sign out and Delete account. See Your account.
