The calendar

Dated issues on a month or week grid, with sprints and shipped releases, rescheduled by dragging.

Calendar, or a project's Calendar tab

The calendar shows dated issues on a month or week grid, with sprints and shipped releases drawn over it. Drag an issue to another day to reschedule it.

Open the calendar

  • Calendar in the sidebar shows scheduled work across every project you can see.
  • A project's Calendar tab shows that project only.

Switch between Month and Week. Move with the arrows, or choose Today to jump back.

What appears on it

  • An issue appears once it has a Start date or a Due date. With both, it is drawn as a bar across the days it runs. With one, it sits on that day.
  • Issues past their due date and not in a final status are marked as overdue.
  • Sprints that have both a start and an end date are drawn as bands.
  • Shipped releases are marked on their ship date. Planned releases are not shown.
  • Sub-issues are left out. By default the calendar shows epics, stories, tasks and bugs.

When a day has more issues than fit in its cell, the cell shows +N more. Select the day to see everything on it in full, with a New issue button.

Filter

Filter by Status, Priority, Type, Project (workspace calendar only), Assignee (including Unassigned), Labels and Sprint. Clear removes them all. Filters narrow what is loaded, not only what is shown.

If a window holds more scheduled work than the calendar loads at once, a notice says so. Add a filter or switch to the week view to be sure you see everything.

Reschedule by dragging

  • Drag an issue onto another day. An issue with both dates keeps its length: the whole bar moves. An issue with one date just moves that date. The time of day is kept.
  • Under the grid, Unscheduled lists issues with no dates, from the 100 most recently updated. Drag one onto a day to give it that due date.

Dragging needs permission to edit issues and a mouse. From the keyboard, open the issue and change its date fields there.
