Trackers and priorities
Rename and recolour issue types and the four priority levels, and map Impact and Urgency to a priority.
Admin → Trackers & priorities
Trackers are your issue types — Epic, Story, Task and Bug. Priorities are the four urgency levels an issue can carry. Both are workspace-wide lists you can rename and recolour, so every picker, badge and report uses your words.
Open the lists
- Open Admin in the sidebar.
- Choose the Trackers & priorities tab.
Seeing the tab needs the tracker read permission; each button appears only for people allowed to use it.
Rename, recolour or remove a tracker
- Choose the pencil icon to change a tracker's Name and Color, then Save changes.
- Choose the bin icon to delete it. A built-in tracker can be deleted too: issues already of that type keep it and stay where they are — it just stops being offered for new issues.
- Restore defaults adds back any built-in tracker that is missing. Ones you renamed, recoloured or added yourself are left alone.
Adding a tracker
The Create tracker card takes a Name and Color. An issue's type is one of a fixed set, so a new tracker is only used when creating issues if its name maps to Epic, Story, Task or Bug. Anything else is listed with a Not used in creation badge.
Priorities
There are always four priorities, from urgent to low. You cannot add more, and the four built-ins cannot be deleted (they are re-created automatically). What you can change, with the pencil icon:
- Name and Color — a team that works in P1–P4 can say P1–P4 everywhere.
- Level — the number that orders them.
A custom priority row left over from earlier shows Can't be assigned yet: it can be edited or deleted, but no issue can be given it.
Per-project types and priorities
A project's Schemes page has Issue types and Priorities sections: tick the ones that project should offer and choose Save. Unticked ones still work on issues that already use them; they are just not offered when creating or editing issues there.
Impact × Urgency
The Impact × Urgency tab is a three-by-three grid (Low, Medium, High for each). In each cell, pick which of the four priorities that combination means; each change saves straight away.
When an issue has both an impact and an urgency, the grid decides its priority and the manual priority field is disabled on that issue. The issue forms do not ask for impact and urgency, so the grid applies to issues that are given both values another way, such as through the API.
